VERONICA VERY

Veronica Very is a Sacred Life & Cultural Guide supporting individuals through spiritual alignment, cultural navigation, and transformative life integration.Through sacred spaces centered on healing, storytelling, art, and ancestral connection, Veronica Very creates experiences that invite reflection, restoration, personal and collective liberation.

She is the founder and visionary of WOW Healing Villa, a luxury healing hospitality and fine art sanctuary in Johannesburg, South Africa, devoted to healing, education, art, ancestry, and liberation.

Through her work, Veronica creates sacred spaces and transformative experiences that invite individuals to reconnect with themselves, their stories, and their ancestral wisdom. She offers one-on-one guidance, family-centered support, intimate healing circles, and curated retreats for those navigating life transitions, cultural shifts, and personal renewal.

Veronica is the creator of the Dear Sista Experience and the author and creator of the Dear Sista, I See You. book. She has held intimate healing circles for thousands of Black women and girls across the United States and around the world. Alongside her husband, acclaimed visual artist Hiawatha D., she co-created the award-winning Dear Sista, I See You.Exhibition and WOW Gallery.

Through a deeply personal journey of grief and loss—including the passing of her daughter Ashlé (28), her mother (60), and her baby brother Keith (23)—Veronica’s work is shaped by lived experience and a profound commitment to supporting others through grief, trauma, and transition. Her forthcoming book, Good Mourning, is an offering devoted to holding space for all navigating loss.

Her work has been widely recognized, earning honors including the Washington State African American Achievement Award, The Seattle Times Best in the Pacific Northwest, Puget Sound Business Journal’s Woman Leader in Business Award, Seattle Storm Woman of Influence recognition, and the Community Catalyst Award from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.

Veronica is happily married to acclaimed visual artist Hiawatha D. and is lovingly embraced as “Mama V” by many spiritual children within her global community. In the spirit of Love, Light, Liberation, and Legacy—her work is an invitation to remember, realign, and rise.
